Paul Hakim
Principal Lawyer
Paul is a dedicated, highly motivated lawyer admitted to practice as an Australian Lawyer in the Supreme Court of Victoria and leads PH & Associates Law Firm, located in the heart of the Legal Precinct. He holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Diploma in Banking and Finance, and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law. Before establishing the firm, he gained extensive experience at a national mid-tier firm in commercial litigation and commercial advisory work, and as a generalist lawyer across boutique firms handling criminal, family, defamation and property matters. His practice spans family, commercial and corporate law; intellectual property and technology law; and litigation. Leveraging a robust litigation background and broad project experience, he delivers pragmatic, client-centric advice across a diverse range of legal matters.

Paloma Kostur
Associate Lawyer
Paloma holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International Relations from La Trobe University, complemented by a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. She was admitted as an Australian Legal Practitioner in 2021 and admitted to the High Court of Australia in 2022.
With a breadth of international experience, Paloma has interned at a leading top-tier firm in China and pursued advanced studies at Masarykova University (Czech Republic) and South-Western University of Finance and Economics (China). In addition to English, she is fluent in Croatian and Serbian.
Paloma is an active member of the Law Institute of Victoria, Victorian Women Lawyers, Women in Crime, and the Australian Institute of International Affairs.
Outside of practice, Paloma tutors university students in law and legal studies, further strengthening her engagement with the development of future legal professionals.
Paloma practises primarily in criminal and family law, offering clients considered, diligent, and strategic representation.

Rashel Toma

Rashel is a penultimate year Law student at RMIT University, bringing paralegal experience and a strong interest in commercial law and litigation, medical negligence and family law. Through her academic studies and legal support work, she has developed practical skills in legal research, drafting, file management and client communication.
She is particularly passionate about areas of law that require both technical precision and empathy. In commercial law and litigation, Rashel enjoys the challenge of problem solving and advocacy. Her interest in medical negligence and family law reflects her commitment to achieving just outcomes in matters that significantly impact people’s lives.
Rashel is eager to continue building her career in the legal profession and contribute meaningfully to the work of our firm.

Advised in complex multi-party proceedings and successful both in the Supreme Court of NSW and NSW Court of Appeal with costs awarded. The matter involved a dispute against an Incorporated Association and claims arising out of breach of Constitution and removal of its members.
Acted and advised in shareholder oppression claims involving complex multi-entity corporate structures.
Represented clients in contractual disputes across courts throughout Australia, including the Magistrates’ Court and County Court of Victoria, and the District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Queensland.
Experienced in property and construction disputes. Acted and advised in property disputes, including representing clients in a multi-million-dollar building defect claim in a complex multi-party proceeding before the County Court of Victoria.
